Sales Catalog

The 2020 FALL BULL SALE IS TUESDAY NOV. 3RD (don't forget to vote!)  Our Fall sale catalog link is found below, and the corresponding bull lot videos are now on the November 3 video page.

Our 2020 Spring bull sale, our 51st, was Saturday, April 18th at Western Livestock Auction in Great Falls, MT.  We sold 115 bulls, averaging $3075.  Highest selling bulls were Lots 28 for $7500, and 78 for $7000, both to Romans Ranches, Charolais breeders from Harper, OR, and Lot 22  at $6750 to Arlene and Orville Skogen of Ft. Shaw, MT, repeat buyers.  We thank again everyone who purchased bulls, demonstrating both confidence and prudent caution in these uncertain times.  About half the regulars showed up in person at the yards, the rest bidding on or arranging for telephone bidding. We again thank you all for a great sale!

TRAVEL UPDATE:  If you are traveling to our sale, and need overnight accommodations, the O'Haire Motor Inn in downtown Gt. Great Falls, Montana is served by Delta Airlines, Alaska/Horizon Air, and United.  United has twice daily direct flights from Denver, Colorado to Gt. Falls.  Horizon's flights connect through Seattle, Delta's flights connect to Great Falls through Salt Lake City, Minneapolis/St. Paul or Seattle.

Cobb quality runs all throughout the sale lots. The general trend is for the older bulls to place in the latter half of the sale offerings, along with the smaller framed bulls, as they are all sold in descending order of  WDA, weight per day of age. The smaller framed bulls, as well as their larger or younger herdmates ahead of them in sale order, all demonstrate our goal of animals that produce a greater proportion of muscle-to-bone ratio, or cutability.  In combination with their uniformity, early maturity, outstanding feed efficiency numbers, and the linebred performance consistency, all make your Cobb bull-sired calves readily saleable.

As always, if you have ANY questions, please call John at 406-562-3670 or Mike at 406-562-3694--we'll be glad to talk with you!
