Corrected polled bull lots:  #2, #6, #8, #25, #28, #34, #35, #37, #41, #51, #54, #56, #58.  Scurred lots:  #15 and #51.

The catalog contains all the performance data plus the EPD's.  To view ultrasound data:  http://cobbcharolais.com/df/catalog/2018%20Fall%20Bull%20Sale%20ultrasounds.xlsx

Supplement sheets with ultrasound data will also be available on sale day.

Remember that ultrasounds measure carcass characteristics, which are influenced by both environmental condiitons (weather, etc.) as well as feeding/nutritional practices.  A longer, colder, more stressful winter, which we recently experienced, will have a deleterious effect on the animal's ability to express their genetic capabilities.  This in no way diminishes their inherent capacity for excellent growth, nor their ability to pass it on to progeny.  These numbers can be compared solely within this particular performance test, and solely between these bulls, for their true accuracy.

Cobb quality runs all throughout the sale lots. The general trend is for the older bulls to place in the latter half of the sale offerings, along with the smaller framed bulls, as they are all sold in descending order of  WDA, weight per day of age. The smaller framed bulls, as well as their larger or younger herdmates ahead of them in sale order, all demonstrate our goal of animals that produce a greater proportion of muscle-to-bone ratio, or cutability.  In combination with their uniformity, early maturity, outstanding feed efficiency numbers, and the linebred performance consistency, all make your Cobb bull-sired calves readily saleable.

As always, if you have ANY questions, please call John at 406-562-3670 or Mike at 406-562-3694--we'll be glad to talk with you!
